Waltham Police Chief Gets More Freedom

Waltham Police Chief Thomas LaCroix is facing serious domestic violence charges.

Facing domestic violence charges, Waltham Police Chief Thomas LaCroix now has a little more freedom as he remains under house arrest.

A Concord District Court judge has eased LaCroix's conditions of release. The judge lifted LaCroix's house arrest between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., but he must continue to wear the GPS monitoring bracelet and not go near the victims' homes, according to Middlesex County District Attorney spokeswoman Stephanie Chelf Guyotte. LaCroix is required to stay under house arrest between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., according to Guyotte.

The changes to LaCroix's release were made during a Sept. 25 hearing at the Concord Court.

LaCroix is facing serious charges for allegedly beating his wife and her friend. He is currently on administrative leave from the police department.

Hi TheLittleWeen & Ed Ellis, my name is Andrea LaCroix & my Husband is Chief Thomas LaCroix. Unfortunately not everything you read in the news is “actual”, alot is dramatized to sell papers & make money. My husband is not a bully or monster, in fact, the reason I fell in love with him yrs ago is b/c of how kind he was. I would like to make it very clear that my husband has NOT had “special” treatment b/c of his position, in fact, if this was your family we wouldn’t even be speaking about it b/c it would be a private family matter. I too grew up in Waltham Ed & yes it may not be Weston but my Dad did the best he could & what he could afford was Waltham. Many people who have grown up in Waltham are not goons as you say, I personally work in the Corp World & many other people from Waltham have become CFO’s, etc.of large Corp. So you shouldn’t put down where you grew up because that is all your parents could afford at the time. As in any profession, there are good & bad, you generalizing the WPD is actually a very ignorant & racial statement that I think the world is trying to get away from. I obviously know a large % of the WPD force thru my husband over the yrs & I know they are just like you & I, good, hard working men & women, except for the fact that when I go to work and sit at my desk I know I will not be shot at, so why don’t you try & show a little respect to those that put their lives out there every day so you & I can be a little safer in this world!

Thank you for that information "The Ham". Now which screens shots are we speaking of, the screen shots of our Wedding Photos, or our HoneyMoon? It sounds like you know Tom or I, so you should reach out to either of us, because I'm sure I don't know you by "The Ham".

Thank you Andrea !!! best follow up Ive ever heard !!! The Media makes situations worse than they really are. Thats why I was amazed at all the dumb comments people were saying about Him. Anyone can have a situation in there Life anytime anywhere, EXAMPLE: you can be in an Auto Accident, and be accused. and you did nothing wrong , but the media can change everything, SO lets give a fair shake on this situation !!!

Let's all remember that LaCroix has not had a trial, is innocent until proven otherwise, and should not be tried in the press (don;t think Patch has sensationalized or misreported) or by those who comment on the press--since they do not have the journalistic values to strive to tell the truth and back up what they say with facts.
