Waltham Man's Landscaping Arrest Takes Turn

The man faces charges over a leaf blower incident.

UPDATED, 9:46 a.m.: The charges have been dropped because they were not supposed to go through the criminal process since it was a civil infraction, according to the Boston Globe.

Brookline Police arrested a 40-year-old Waltham man on Saturday for allegedly using a leaf blower before 9 a.m., according to WCVB-TV.

Marvin Astillo, who was part of a landscaping crew, was allegedly using a leaf blower when an officer asked him to stop, according to the report. In Brookline, use of a leaf blower between May 15 and Sept. 15 is prohibited as well as before 9 a.m. on Saturdays.

After a dispute over providing identification to the officer, police arrested Castillo for using the leaf blower and refusing to identify himself.
