Waltham Community Honors Jennifer Martel

Jennifer Martel was remembered during a candlelight vigil in Waltham on Tuesday.

A candlelight vigil was held Tuesday night in Waltham to remember Jennifer Martel, who was murdered Aug. 15.

The following photos were provided to Waltham Patch by a resident, of Windsor Village, where the vigil was held and Martel was killed. While the vigil was open to anybody who wished to come, media was not allowed. A WCVB-TV reporter tweeted Waltham Police barred media from the event at the request of the Martel family. 

Martel's boyfriend, Jared Remy, is facing murder charges for allegedly stabbing her to death on Aug. 15.
