Waltham Brothers Busted for Disturbing Peace at Rooming House

The incident occurred at 20 Adams St. in Waltham.

Two Waltham brothers were arrested on Jan. 22 after causing a disturbance at a rooming house, according to Waltham Police.

Joseph Dinsmore, 24, of 20 Adams St., is facing one charge of disturbing the peace, while his brother, Charles, 24, of the same address, is facing a charges for assault and disturbing the peace, according to police. 

At around 4:02 p.m. officers responded to a report of an unwanted man at the rooming house at 20 Adams St., Waltham Police Sgt. Tim King said. A resident had heard a knock on his door and discovered Charles Dinsmore standing in the hallway. The resident, King said, told Charles to leave, but Charles tossed an empty beer bottle at the door. The resident then opened the door again and Charles charged him in a threatening manner, King said. The resident then followed Charles down a hallway.

Then, officers arrived and found Joseph Dinsmore, King said. Joseph began yelling at the officers and demanded they leave, but the officers told Joseph to quiet down. The officers then arrested Joseph for disturbing the peace. 

Officers then checked a one-room apartment in the building and found Charles hiding in it, King said. Charles emerged from the unit with his hands behind his back and lunged at them. The officers avoided Charles's lunge, wrestled him to the ground and pepper sprayed  him, King said. Charles was then arrested.
