Waltham and Brandeis Police Investigating Alleged Sexual Assault

The incident allegedly occurred at a Dartmouth Street residence.

Waltham Police and Brandeis University Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault that occurred between Jan. 18 and Jan. 20, according to The Justice, the school’s student newspaper. 

Brandeis University Public Safety Director Ed Callahan confirmed the investigation to the newspaper saying the incident occurred at a Dartmouth Street residence. No arrests had been made as of Feb. 4.

Separately, the University is conducting its own investigation, according to the Justice.

The newspaper could not independently confirm whether the recent suspension of a Zeta Beta Tau fraternity member was connected to the alleged assault. ZBT is comprised of Brandeis students, according to The Justice.

However, ZBT officials are urging their members not to discuss the matter.
