Update on Waltham Child Attacker Suspect
Luis Melendez is facing serious charges for allegedly attacking a kid.
A homeless man accused of attacking a Waltham teen has been ordered held without bail after a dangerousness hearing, according to the Middlesex County District's Attorney's Office.
Luis Melendez, 37, will remain in custody as he faces charges for allegedly attacking a 14-year-old Waltham girl. He allegedly tried to tie her up with a phone cord.
Melendez is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 24 for a probable cause hearing.
