Trial to Start Soon in Deadly Waltham Hit-And-Run

Blanca Contreras faces charges in the death of Scott Coxall.

The trial of a Waltham woman who allegedly struck and killed a Waltham man in 2011 will begin on June 13, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office.

Blanca Contreras is accused of driving the car Contreras faces motor vehicle homicide charges, as well as other related driving charges. The trial will be held at Waltham District Court. 

Contreras, a native of Guatemala, is in the country illegally. She was 29 at the time of the crash.

Contreras and her attorney have claimed she was not driving the car at the time of the crash. Contreras's boyfriend, William Vasquez, is facing charges he lied to police. He allegedly told police he previously lied when he said Contreras was driving the car. Vasquez told police he was driving.
