See How Much Former Waltham Police Chief Earned on Leave

Former Waltham Police Chief Thomas LaCroix earned a little less than $200,000 during his one-year paid leave as he faced charges for attacking his wife at their Maynard home in June 2012, according to city records. 

LaCroix, who was convicted on two misdemeanor counts of assault and battery on his wife, was paid $170,942.56 per his base salary and received a $16,814.58 longevity bonus. He was also paid $9,433.99 for in holiday pay. Those figures cover from June 23, 2012 to June 26, 2013. LaCroix was placed on unpaid leave on June 26. 

LaCroix resigned in July after being sentenced to probation for attacking his wife.
