Roof Blown Off Waltham Condos; Residents Evacuated

Police and firefighters are responding to 1105 Lexington Street for an unsafe building.

Waltham firefighters and police officers are evacuating the Glen Meadow condominiums, after two roofs blew off the complex, according to several Twitter reports.

According to the Waltham Police Twitter feed, the Waltham Building Inspector has declared the 1105 Lexington Avenue building unsafe due to wind damage. City Councilor Robert Logan, who tweets police and fire scanner reports, tweeted that two roofs had been blown off the building. He said 25 families were being evacuated. Later scanner reports indicated at least some would be taken to a shelter in Waltham.
