Recent Waltham Arrests: Indecent Exposure Charge

The following information was supplied by the Waltham Police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, May 9

Wilson Garcia, 20, of 181 Felton St., arrested and charged with driving with a suspended registration and driving with a suspended license. 

Willie Tasejo, 38, of 55 Alder St., arrested and charged with indecent exposure. 

Russell Hamann, 52, of 34 High St., arrested and charged with drinking alcohol in public.

Friday, May 10

Andrea Miller, 24, of 247 Ridge Ln., arrested and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.

Saturday, May 11

Luke Penton, 28, of 61 Loretta Rd., arrested on a warrant charge for possession of marijuana

Sunday, May 12

John Kenney, 18, of 99 Bacon St., arrested on a warrant charge for assault and battery.

Victoria Debarros, 17, of 40 Lyman St., arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. 

Bruce Wall, 24, of Worcester, arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license. 

Monday, May 13

Susanna Lavallee, 52, of 184 Lexington St., arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Robert Tedesco, 22, of Haverhill, arrested and charged with possession of a class E substance and possession of a class B substance.

Stewart Hill, 42, of 1402 Stearns Hill Rd., arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Can someone please explain to me why people are being arrested for possession of marijuana?

@Silvercan, That is not true. This is true: the possession of less than one ounce of marijuana is no longer a criminal act. It is a civil violation of the law punishable by a fine. See link: http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2008/11/question_2_setu.html
