Police Seeking 2 Suspects in Connection with Tyler Zanco's Murder

Police have issued warrants for the suspects' arrests.

Authorities are seeking two suspects in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Tyler Zanco in Waltham last Thursday.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Waltham police said Tuesday they have issued the following warrants:

Domingo Mendes, 22, of 10 Olmsted Drive, Belmont, is wanted on charges of murder, possession of a firearm and conspiracy to violate drug laws. He is described as a 5-foot-10 black male, 165 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Taylor Poulin, 21, of Newton, is wanted on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlicensed possession of a firearm and conspiracy to violate drug laws. He is described as a 6-foot white male, 220 pounds. He may be operating a black 2002 Ford Explorer.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these two suspects is asked to contact Waltham police at 781-314-3607 or Massachusetts State Police detectives at 781-897-6600.

Authorities believe these suspects and the victim were known to each other, and this was not a random act.

Zanco, a Waltham High senior and wrestling captain, was shot shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, March 20, in the Gardencrest Apartments parking lot on Middlesex Circle in Waltham. He was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
