Police Search for Suspects After Person Shot in Waltham

A shooting that occurred early Sunday morning is under investigation by the Waltham Police.

At 1:14 a.m., reports of a shooting at 117 Middlesex Road came into the Waltham Police.

A 20-year-old man sustained two gunshot wounds, according to police, and he was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

"At this time it appears this was not a random attack and there is no further risk to the public," a release from the Waltham Police reads.

Two suspects are being sought, and residents were told to stay in their home for a short time after the shooting, according to a report by WCVB Channel 5
