Police Arrest Waltham Stabbing Suspect

The suspect will be arraigned in Waltham District Court on Dec. 13.

Waltham Police have arrested a suspect in the recent stabbing and home invasion at 144 Hammond St.

Edward Fenochietti, 21, of Waltham, was arrested at his 140 Montclair Ave. home at 6:05 p.m. on Dec. 12, according to Waltham Police. He will be arraigned on Dec. 13 at Waltham District Court on the following charges: home invasion, assault with a dangerous weapon and on outstanding warrant charges for breaking and entering (misdemeanor), malicious destruction of a motor vehicle, larceny under $250, disorderly conduct, two counts of breaking and entering (motor vehicle), unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failing to use a turn signal and carrying a dangerous weapon. 

Police believe Fenochietti stabbed one man at 144 Hammond St. on Dec. 4. Police have not said why Fenochietti stabbed the alleged victim but said it was not a random act of violence. Police believe there may be two other suspect involved in the incident.

The victim has since been treated and released from a hospital.
