Newton Woman Busted Twice in Two Days For Waltham Crimes

Michelle Connolly is facing charges stemming from a domestic incident.

A Newton woman was arrested twice in two days recently stemming from a single domestic incident, accroding to Waltham Police.

Michelle Connolly, 24, of 8 River St., Newton, is facing charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, threatening to commit a crime and violating an abuse prevention order. 

Newton Police arrested Connolly on July 22, resulting in the assault charge, after she allegedly struck her boyfriend with his purse and fist at a Waltham location, according to Waltham Police Lt. Joe Brooks. As a result, her boyfriend obtaned a no contact order, Brooks said. She was later transported to Waltham Police headquarters, according to Brooks.

On July 23, Waltham Police arrested Connolly for violating the no contact order, according to Brooks. He did not elaborate on the second incident.
