More Details on Man Struck By Car in Waltham

No charges have been filed in the Sunday morning pedestrian strike in Waltham.

The 70-year-old man struck by a car on Main Street on Sunday remains in critical but stable condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, according to police.

As of Tuesday, the man, whom police revealed is a Maynard resident, was still in the intensive care unit and is unable to speak, according to police. Officers have not yet spoken with him.

The victim was struck by a 25-year-old Waltham man as he was crossing Main Street in a southerly direction on Sunday morning. The victim sustained head, arm and shoulder injuries and was taken by a helicopter to the hospital.

Police are investigating crash. No charges have been filed.
