License Commission Shutters Waltham Bar

The bar can appeal the decision.

The Waltham License Commission has ordered a local bar to temporarily close for six days for recent violations of alcohol regulations, according to the city's license commission.

The Commission, during its Oct. 22 meeting, ordered Bullets Bar & Grill on Main Street to close for six days after discovering several violations in connection with a recent alcohol sting, according to License Commission assistant Darlene Wansiewicz.

The bar has five days, as of Oct. 23, to file for an appeal, Wansiewicz said. The bar had not filed any appeal as of Oct. 24, she said. If the bar appeals the decision, the closure would be delayed until a final decision is issued.

Specifically, the commission determined the bar had served a patron who was under 21 and was employing an uncertified bartender, Wansiewicz said. The bar has prior violations, she said.

The bar's phone was disconnected as of Oct. 24 and could not be reached for comment.
