The man suspected of carrying out the Waltham triple murders was shot several times by FBI agents and may have been unarmed.
Hassan Shibly, director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said that private investigators hired by the family of Ibragim Todashev discovered he had been shot several times, potentially while on the ground and in the head, according to the report by ABC Action News in Tampa, Fla. He was killed after a four hour interview in Todashev's Orlando apartment
Shibly said the investigators findings cannot be confirmed because the FBI has barred the medical examiner from releasing a report Todashev’s autopsy.
Todashev was being questioned in connection to the Waltham murders, which he allegedly carried out with Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the suspected Boston Marathon bombers.
Friends of the three victims told police that they suspected Tsarnaev was involved in the killings, in part, because he did not show up at the victims’ funerals. He had been friends with them.
