Todashev was being questioned in connection to the Waltham murders, which he allegedly carried out with Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the suspected Boston Marathon bombers.

Friends of the three victims told police that they suspected Tsarnaev was involved in the killings, in part, because he did not show up at the victims’ funerals. He had been friends with them.
