Investigators Eye Whether Molotov Cocktails Were Used in Two Fires

Two fires have reportedly occurred at the same Gale Street home in less than two weeks.

Waltham Police and Fire, and state fire investigators are investigating whether Molotov cocktails were used to start two fires on Gale Street in less than two weeks, reported The Boston Globe.

The first happened on Aug. 27 with a report of a suspicious object. The house’s vinyl siding was damaged, but no one was injured. The second incident happened about 12:30 a.m. Thursday. There was a small fire on the ground that was surrounded by broken glass. The fire was extinguished with a garden hose, reported The Globe.

“We believe it to be the same type of incident as last time, where someone threw a bottle against the house,” Waltham Police Det. Sgt. Tim King told The Boston Globe.
