'He Threatened to Shoot Her in the Face If She Didn't Comply'

Nobody was injured during the incident.

Waltham Police are investigating an armed robbery of the Hess gas station on Prospect Street on Monday night.

Nobody was injured during the incident but the male suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Waltham Police Sgt. Joseph Gugino. Police are investigating whether the robbery is connected to two other robberies on Monday night in Burlington and Bedford along with a recent string of Dunkin Donuts robberies, Guigno said.

"Similar clothing and similar [pattern of the crimes]. Of course we are going to take a look at it," Guigno said.

The incident began at 10:28 p.m. when police received a report of a robbery alarm at the 70 Prospect St. station, Guigno said. When police arrived, the clerk told them the suspect had entered the store and pointed a black pistol at the clerk and demanded cash from the register.

"He threatened to shoot her in the face if she did not comply," Guigno said.

The suspect grabbed some money and fled the store toward Charles Street, Guigno said.

The suspect is described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and black mask, according to Guigno. The suspect's skin was not visible to the clerk since all of it was covered by clothing, Guigno said.

Police are not releasing surveillance camera images at the moment, Guigno said.
