Police are searching for a white man who allegedly robbed a Waltham store on Aug. 12.

At around 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the store at 42 Warren St., according to police. A man, who police believe is in his 30s, allegedly robbed the store as he pointed a red-handled knife at the clerk. The suspect fled in an unknown dircetion and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30s, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, according to police. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with "Salem, Massachusetts," printed on it. He was wearing baggy pants with black sneakers with white on them. He also was wearing a black baseball hat and a ski mask covering the lower part of his face. A tattoo of a line, which police think is part of a larger tattoo, was spotted between his thumb and forefinger.
