Florida Won't Investigate Death of Waltham Triple Murder Suspect

Ibragim Todashev was shot during an interview with FBI agents in Florida in May.

Days after Massachusetts officials declined to look into the death of Waltham triple murder suspect Ibragim Toadashev, Florida officials announced they too would not be investigating the incident.

Todashev died after being shot during and interview by FBI agents and other law enforcement official at his home in Orlando in May. He was suspected of being behind the triple murder in Waltham in 2011, along with Tarmerlan Tsarnaev. Tsarnaev was one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon Bombing suspects and died in the shootout in Watertown.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald M. Bailey said it would not be appropriate to investigate an incident that is still an active federal investigation, according to a story in the Boston Globe.
