A Florida State Attorney said there is no timeline or deadline for completing his review of the death of one of the suspects in the Waltham Triple Murders.
Jeffrey L. Ashton, Ninth Judicial Circuit Attorney, met with Abdulbaki Todashev – father of Ibragim Todashev – to talk about the death of the younger Todashev during an interview with the FBI and other law enforcement. In a statement Ashton said he is “working in conjunction with federal authorities and that he has not and will not prejudge the ultimate outcome of the review,” according to a report on Boston.com.
Todashev was being questioned for his involvement in the murders of three Waltham men in September 2011. He was a suspect along with Tameralan Tsarnaev, one of the men suspected of carrying out the Boston Marthon Bombings.
Abdulbaki Todashev, the ACLU and an Islamic American group all called for an independent investigation into Todashev’s death.
