Ibragim Todashev was allegedly involved in the 2011 Waltham triple murder.

Many more details of the shooting death of Ibragim Todashev, who was allegedly involved in the 2011 triple murder in Waltham.

A Federal Bureau of Investigation agent shot and killed Todashev in May while he was being questioned about his involvement in the murders of three men in a Harding Avenue home in September 2011. Previous reports say the agent shot Todashev after the Todashev attacked him with a weapon.

The FBI has said it will soon release a report on its internal investigation of the shooting.

A new WBUR report lays out several details.

  • Todashev told investigators, "I was there, but I didn't do the murders."
  • Sources told WBUR the agent who shot Todashev, fired in two bursts. The first volley struck Todashev, but he got back up and the agent fired a second burst of shots.
  • Todashev was not in cuffs at the time of the incident.
