UPDATE: Dead Male Body Found in Waltham Part of Charles River [VIDEO]

State Police are investigating a dead body found in the Charles River along Crescent Street.

UPDATE, 4:10 p.m.: The Middlesex County District Attorney's Office told Waltham Patch the body is of a middle age white man. He has no obvious signs of trauma, according to the DA's office. An autopsy will be done to determine a cause of death and identify the man. They first received the report of a body floating in the river at 1:30 p.m.

Details are still sketchy, but Waltham Patch editor Ryan Grannan-Doll personally witnessed the body being placed in a Medical Examiner's van at 137 Crescent St. Waltham Police, via Twitter, said State Police are investigating the incident.

A Crescent street neighbor, who only gave his first name, Robert, said a detective told him that kayakers in the river found the body and reported it.

State Police and Waltham firefighters searched the river for at least 30 minutes before pulling the body out.
