Court Updates on Alleged Downtown Waltham Robbers

In total, 9 people have been charged in connection with the robberies.

The cases of five of the alleged downtown Waltham robbers are proceeding through the court system. See the latest court proceedings on the suspects:

-Robert Jackson, 21, homeless: Jackson was arraigned on Dec. 19. At a Dec. 23 dangerousness hearing, a judge denied prosecutors’ request to hold Jackson, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office. The judge set bail at $2,500. If Jackson posts bail, he must remain under house arrest and stay away from any of his victims, the DA's office said. He must also stay away from the crime scene and any witnesses. He is scheduled for a Jan. 2 hearing.

-Yesner Espinal, 20, of 688 Moody St., #2: Espinal was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Dec. 20. An attorney was appointed to him and he is scheduled for a Jan. 22 pre-trial hearing, according to court records.

Michael LeMay, 18, of 262 Crescent St.: LeMay is being held without bail pending a Dec. 27 dangerousness hearing, according to the DA's office. An attorney has been appointed to him, according to court records. 

-Yoshuel DeVictoria Lopez, 30, of 131 Bright St.: Lopez was placed on house arrest with a GPS bracelet, according to the DA's office. He is scheduled for a Dec. 31 probable cause hearing. An attorney has been appointed to him, according to court records.

-Kenny Jean, 19, of Waltham: Jean is being held without bail pending a Dec. 31 dangerousness hearing, according to the DA’s office.

NOTE: Four other juvenile suspects have been arrested in connection with the robberies. Their court files are not public.
