Burglar Strikes Elderly Waltham Woman's Home

No arrests have been made.

Waltham Police are investigating a Sunday daytime home break-in during which the burglar stole cash and jewelry from an elderly Waltham woman.

The incident began at 1:30 p.m. when police received a report of a home break-in at 18 Wadsworth Ave., according to Waltham Police Sgt. Tim King.

After an investigation, police determined the burglar stole an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry, King said. The break-in occurred sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., he said.

While no arrests have been made, police issued a description for a possible suspect: while male in his late 20s or early 30s, with dirty blonde hair wearing a white jacket. The suspect accessed the house by either breaking or removing front door glass and opening the door, King said.
