Conley invoked the memory of Lord in his announcement and said he assured Lord’s mother, Cindy, that police won’t stop until they get justice for Amy.

“Amy Lord was a small town girl but she came to love Boston and it became the place that she called home,” Conley said.

EVIDENCE

·      Conley said “biological” evidence will be presented to the grand jury.

·      Investigators are still searching for evidence to support the case, Conley said.

MISTAKES

·      Boston Police have demoted a detective who had previously investigated Alemany for attacks on other women, according to the Boston Globe. However, the detective reportedly did not follow up on case development, according to the Globe.
