Body Found in Charles River At Moody Street Bridge

The death is not suspicious, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

Monday, Feb. 6, 2 p.m.: Per policy, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office declined to release the identity of the the deceased man. However, they did say he is 58-years-old.

UPDATE, 2:55 p.m.: Authorities have confirmed that a man's body was found in the Charles River. The death is not suspicious.

"No foul play is suspected," said Jessica Venezia Pastore, director of communications for the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

There is no identification on the body yet, she said, and next of kin will be notified first once there is.

UPDATE, 2:03 p.m.: A diver is suiting up to go into the water, according to Waltham Patch editor Ryan Grannan-Doll, who is on the scene.

Waltham Police, Mass. State Police and possibly a medical examiner's van are at the location. The call initially went out over the scanner as a water rescue, but quickly became a recovery operation.
