Bentley Student Busted For Assaulting Cops

A Bentley University student is facing serious assault charges.

A Bentley University student was arrested recently after he allegedly assaulted campus security officers, according to a university spokesman and Waltham Police. 

David Ingalls, 21, of Chelmsford, was arrested on Dec. 2 at 4:42 a.m. after an altercation with campus officers, according to Waltham Police Sgt. Joseph Guigno. Guigno said Bentley officers arrested Ingalls and booked him at the Waltham Police station where he was held. 

Ingalls is charged with two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Bentley spokesman Michele Walsh confirmed that the student was no longer on campus, but she could not confirm the student's name. Guigno confirmed Ingalls was that student. 

University security officers are investigating the incident, according to Walsh.
