Alleged Sheriff Shooter Has Violent Waltham Past

The incident dates back to 2001 at the Pizzi Farm Stand.

An inmate who allegedly shot a Middlesex County Deputy Sheriff at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in Boston on Wednesday has a dark past from a 2001 incident in Waltham, according to the Boston Herald.

Two Waltham Police officers shot Raymond Wallace in 2001 as he attempted to rob Pizzi Farm, an ice cream stand in North Waltham, according to the Boston Herald. During that incident, Wallace entered the store dressed in a ninja outfit and two guns strapped to his back. He also had a crowbar on him.

Wallace, however, was later released from prison after he was paroled in 2009, according to the Herald. He was later arrested for violating his parole during another robbery in Salem.
