Waltham is becoming a city of potholes, trash and crime

The city is really declining.  The streets are in a terrible state of disrepair (even before the onset of winter), they are filthy with litter that the city workers step over rather than clean up (one example Carter Street lot is a disgusting mess) and crime is on the rise.  The politicians brag about the low tax rate and claim their fame this way, however it really isn't a bargain given the  problems we have that nobody seems to be dealing with in a proactive way.  We have a good number of wonderful city employees but we have an equal number who tread water and collect their paychecks.  We have police reacting to crime but nothing is being done in any way to prevent it.  We had two murders in Waltham in a short period of time.  I feel like it's time to move.
