The Waltham Tribune's change for posting comments

IMHO The Trib made a terrible mistake by now requiring that commentators log in via their Facebook or LinkedIn accounts. Per the age-old sage advice, it is usually best to not discuss sex, religion or politics with all your friends, church members, employer, etc. Of course that will curtail idiotic comments by requiring a personal identity, but for sure they will loose the savvy comments from responsible commentators that choose to use a pseudonym. (Check out the adverse comments they received, before cutting-off further comments: http://www.wickedlocal.com/waltham/news/x853677100/New-commenting-system-aims-to-improve-conversations-on-our-website )

Anyhow, my simple though is that any one of us could select a topic of interest from the Trib, post the link here and initiate a dialog, e.g. the recent articles about our High School, forthcoming discussions about the city elections, etc. (This of course could also serve to boost readership traffic in the great Waltham Patch!)
