Patch will be all done. Robert Fucci was an ICON in the Sudbury community and was kicked to the curb. Good luck Hale. Bad, bad move! You will lose big time on this bad decision.

The layoff notice: "Unfortunately, your role has been eliminated and you will no longer have a role at Patch and today will be your last day of employment with the company... Thank you again and best of luck.” How disgusting is that...just shameful. It makes me sick to see how working people, and people who want to work, the people who are all the backbone of this country, are treated these days. It's one thing to want to turn around a business, but it's another to play with people's lives as though they're just pawns on a chess board. This kind of treatment just sickens me. Whether or not Patch survives, if it doesn't have a sense of how it can contribute to and enhance community journalism and communication, then it will just become another junk website. I hope this isn't what the publishers have in mind. At any rate, this was a shameful treatment of the people who've worked for them. They all, no doubt, deserve better, and I hope they have bright futures. Personally, I'll miss Ryan!

I will miss RGD as well, I gave him alot of grief, but he took it like a champ! Waltham Patch was a better place with him, soon it will just be adverts and those automatically generated "articles" based off a spreadsheet. Sigh.

Already on the home page there is only one article with Waltham specific content, and 3-4 articles that are Massachusetts based, and probably cribbed from the Boston Globe anyhow.
