Loiterers at Main/Linden - any ideas?

Has anyone else noticed the large group of youngsters who loiter in the CVS/PetCo. parking lot every night? I live in the Gardencrest Apartments across the street and am constantly getting woken-up by these obnoxious loafers.

I've done everything I can think of to get rid of these kids, but they never seem to get the point. I've called the WalthamPD on them countless times for racing,burnouts,loud-music,partying,yelling,loitering, etc. I've asked the PetCo. and CVS management if they could do anything (which they won't.) And I've asked the kids to leave nicely a number of times. I don't mind if they "hang out" there, as long as they are quiet (which may be asking too much from today's youth.)

Anyone have any ideas?

Waltham Resident: I think you have no idea if Buzz is respectable or not. Have you ever met him? Not sure what little kids are playing in front yards at 10:00 pm. I think you missed the point of my post, a group of kids hanging out in cars in a parking lot is not a bad thing. They could be doing worse things. The person that wrote in is from Gardencrest, you would think that kids talking and playing music would be a blessing from what has happened there in recent years.

Waltham Resident: So your judging me from what I look like and you've never ever met me before ? Last time I checked buddy if anything bad was going on anywhere near that area it was my good friend passing away in YOUR complex. Find something better to do then worry about some kids trying to socialize and talk about car parts. Cops have talked to us before and seen there is nothing being done that shouldn't be...that's why they don't make us leave.

Yup, you and mom are right: if anything bad was going on it was the Gardencrest complexes' fault. I'll find something better to do than worry about some kids trying to socialize. Thanks! My eyes are opened now!

Of course the new police chief does not want more cops, that cuts into the over time and ends the excuses; he was hand picked by our mayor because it was "his turn". Not that familiar with the issue, but call the owners of the businesses as it is private property. I am sure the "cop on the beat" does his best, but he takes his guidance from above.
