City Council Meeting Tomorrow Night

FYI: to all concerned citizens of Waltham. Local professionals are willing to help!!!!!!!!!!! The city of Waltham has appropriated $100,000 to have an outside firm review current zoning, and make recommendations for changes and needed zoning updates. The five city councilors on the "rules and ordinance committee" will be working with the outside firm. I think this is a great starting place. Tomorrow night at the full city council meeting, there is a vote to decide whether or not to have an additional committee of local professionals ie; a (lawyer, builder, landlord, citizens, land trust member, and a business owner) to assure the zoning changes help the city. This advisory committee is so important, zoning affects everybody in the city. To get this wrong would hold this city back from prospering.The zoning issues are extremely complex, they have long term effects on our city. I do not understand why city councilors would not want want input from local professional within the community. Please call your city councilor tomorrow and ask him or her to support the Advisory Committee of local professionals. I believe everyone involved is interested in seeing Waltham thrive. Please do your part, lets get this right!
