He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Yvette M. (Veilleux) Abbott, his loving siblings Audrey E. Toy and her husband Kevin of Billerica, Robert W. Abbott and his wife Diane of Shrewsbury, and William J. Abbott and his wife Cindy of Londonderry, New Hampshire. In addition, he is survived by many devoted brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Alan C. Abbott and his dog Roscoe.
