Stephen Golledge, 51, Waltham Tree Warden

Stephen J. Golledge of Waltham died on Aug. 3 at the age of 51.

He was born in Cambridge and was raised in Auburndale. He owned and operated Golledge Tree Service before becoming the tree warden and arborist for the City of Waltham, according to an obituary on the Joyce Funeral Home website.

He is the son of Roberta (Smith) Golledge of Exeter, N.H., and the late Rev. Robert Golledge. He is survived by his wife Dorothy A. (Fairweather) Golledge; his sons Stephen J. Golledge, Jr. and Mark A. Golledge, both of Waltham; his brother, Robert Golledge, Jr. of Canton; his sister, Susan Golledge-Rotwein of Trinidad, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.

Stephen was also the husband of the late Dorothy A. (Chiasson) Golledge who died in 2007.

Calling hours will be held in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. in Waltham, on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9 in Christ Church, 750 Main St. in Waltham, where his funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
