Obituary: Joseph 'Joey Tips' McBride, 42, Local Bartender

McBride died unexpectedly Monday, March 17.

Joseph McBride, of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly early Monday afternoon, March 17, 2014 at the age of 42. 

Born on Jan. 15, 1972 in Waltham; beloved son of the late Joseph and Mary (Mannion) McBride, Joe was a lifelong resident of Waltham. 

A graduate of Waltham High School, Joey worked as a bartender at Costello's, Bullet's, The Mad Raven and several other area bars throughout his life. 

Joey was a outgoing and fun loving guy who truly enjoyed meeting people. He enjoyed listening to music, reading, and was a passionate Boston Red Sox Fan. He loved spending time with family and friends, and was especially proud of his Irish heritage. 

He is survived by his loving and devoted cousins. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service in the chapel of the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, on Monday morning, March 24, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, March 23, from 2-6 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
