Obituary: John Richard, 48, Lifelong Waltham Resident

Richard died suddenly Thursday, June 26.

The following is from Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home.

John Richard, of Waltham, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick. He was 48.

John was a lifelong resident of Waltham and was a 1983 graduate of the Waltham Vocational High School.

Mr. Richard worked in construction as a carpenter. He also worked in heating, ventilation and air conditioning and was a plumber for some time.
In his spare time, John enjoyed being outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, going to the beach and golfing.

He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy M. (Johnson) Richard of Waltham, his two cherished sons Andrew and Ryan, his loving parents Norman and Louise (LeBlanc) Richard of Templeton, his sisters Debbie Boucher and her husband Danny of Burlington and Norma Mula and her husband John of Framingham and his brothers Maurice Richard and his wife Michele (Kifer) of Waltham and Michael Richard of Nashua, New Hampshire. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Monday at 9 a.m. with a mass of Christian burial in celebration of John's life at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall St., at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
