Obituary: Jeanette T. Taylor

Taylor died Monday, March 24.

Jeanette T. (Alesse) Taylor, 81, of Hyannis, formerly of Waltham, died at home with her family by her side on Monday, March 24, 2014.

A caring mother and fun loving free spirited woman who spent countless hours helping those less fortunate, she was an active parishioner and volunteer at St. Francis Xavier Church. The acts of kindness she performed throughout the community came natural to her. A creative woman who sold her work at local flea markets and craft fairs, she also enjoyed activities with friends, walking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving children, Debora Dillon, Joseph H. Taylor Jr., Linda Murphy and Theresa Oliveira; her former husband, Joseph H. Taylor Sr.; her cherished grandchildren, Caitlin Davis, Lauren Taylor and Julia Taylor; her precious great-granddaughter, Hannah Paige Davis; her longtime companion, Herb Smith; and her siblings, Sadie Cardillo, Angie Salvo, Eleanor Martel and Carmen Alesse.

Visiting hours will be from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Marstons Mills, MA 02648. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 31, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 347 South St., Hyannis, followed by burial at 2 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.
