Gordon Riggs, of Waltham, passed away Sunday evening, March 23, 2014 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 57.
Born on Aug. 13, 1956 to the late Norma (Leger) Riggs, he has been a lifelong resident of Waltham and was a graduate of Waltham High School.
Mr. Riggs served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a contractor and mason for many years.
In his spare time, Gordon enjoyed following the local sports teams, especially the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his loving siblings Pat Sullivan and her husband Mike of Scarborough, Maine, Sandy Riggs of Waltham and Jackie Riggs of Florida, and many nieces and nephews, He was the brother of the late Thomas Riggs.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial mass of Christian burial in celebration of Gordon's life at Saint Charles Church, 51 Hall St., Waltham, Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery.
