A Waltham resident for the past 70 years, she returned to the city after her marriage to Emilio A. "Leo" Conzo Jr., a Waltham Fire Lieutenant, who died on Dec. 2, 1981.

Eleanor and Leo were founding members of Saint Jude Church when it was formed in 1949. Throughout her life Eleanor was among the group of people who can best be described as the blood and the bone of the parish. Her name was on the short list of people called to help with any and every endeavor at church or at the parish school. Generations of students, parishioners, priests and sisters were the benefactors of her warmth, love, kindness and generosity.
