Obituary: Edith Pelletier

Pelletier died Tuesday, March 4.

The following is from Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home.

Edith Pelletier, of Waltham, beloved wife of the late August A. Pelletier, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Wilmington Healthcare Nursing Home, with her family by her side.

She was born and raised in Bronx, N.Y., and graduated from Birds Business Institute. She worked as an Executive Secretary and retired from American Paper Products in 1978. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 2152 and the Pond St. Senior Club.

She is predeceased by her daughter Doris and only son Francis, who was the "apple of her eye". She leaves behind her daughters Linda Whalen and her husband Frank of Groveland and Sharon Pitts and her husband David of Tewksbury, eight grandchildren, Edith Christina, Patricia Ann, Charles, Trevor, Nicole, Steven, Mark and Kevin, and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind the "Pelletier Girls" Marie, Irene, Louise, Lorraine and Bernadette, whom she loved like daughters.

Edith was a warm, kind, and caring woman who loved to read, do crosswords, listen to music and be in the company of others. The world is a better place because she once lived here.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service in celebration of Edith's life at the Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
