Obit: Megan Duffy, 21, of Waltham, Wayland HS Grad

Megan Whitney Duffy Sutherland, of Waltham, died unexpectedly Monday November 18th, 2013 at the age of 21. 

Born on November 11, 1992 in Waltham; beloved daughter of Steven Sutherland and the late Kimberley J. Duffy, Megan was raised in Wayland and had lived in the Wayland and Waltham area throughout her life. 

A graduate of Wayland High School with the Class of 2011, Megan was employed for a period of time with Pizzi Farms in Waltham, at Levi’s Department Store in the Natick Collection and Dunkin Donuts on Moody Street in Waltham and on Commonwealth Avenue in Newton.

During High School Megan was a cheerleader and loved to play softball.

She is survived by her loving sister of Haley Madison Duffy, brothers Peter D. “P.J.” Duffy Jr., Steven David Sutherland and step-sisters Emily, Erica and Lauren Dunton, her cherished grandparents Sally A. (Gray) Bennett and her husband Richard, William and Virginia (Barker) Sutherland, and step parents Stephanie (DeRubeis) Sutherland and Peter D. Duffy Sr. In addition she is survived by her devoted friends Doug McDonald and Laurianne Bonadio DeRubeis, many aunts, uncles, cousins & numerous friends. 

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody Street, Waltham on Friday morning Nov. 22nd at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Megan’s Life at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday Nov. 21st from 4 – 8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
