Jennifer Martel, 27, Waltham Resident, Taunton Native

Jennifer L. Martel of Waltham, formerly of Taunton, died on Aug. 15 at the age of 27.

She graduated from Taunton High School, got an associates degree from University of Phoenix and was working toward becoming an elementary school teacher at Framingham State University. She worked as an assistant front end manager at Market Basket in Burlington, according to an obituary on the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home website.

She is the daughter of Brian and Patricia Martel; mother of Arianna Nicole Remy of Waltham; granddaughter of Richard Martel of Fall River; sister of Brian Martel Jr and his wife Andrea of Boykins, Va.; aunt of Kayla and Brookie of Boykins, Va.; special friend of Kristina and her husband Stewart Hill of Waltham; and her god son and best friend Eden Hill of Waltham.

Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton, on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services and burial will be private.
