Christopher Darcy, 26, Worked for Waltham Police

Christopher B. Darcy died on July 24 at the age of 26.

The lifelong Waltham resident graduated from Landmark High School in Beverly and then got a degree in criminal justice from Westfield State. Most recently he worked for the Waltham Police Department, according to an obituary on the Joyce Funeral Home website.

He is survived by his parents Brian and Suzanne, his siblings, Alexandra S. Karey and her husband Erik of Holliston, MacKenzie B. Darcy and Matthew E. Darcy, both of Waltham; his aunts and uncles, Debra and Ron Pelletier, Kevin and KarenDarcy, Marc Lapenta, and David and Joyce Roller.

Visiting hours will be held at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. in Waltham on Wednesday, July 31 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 8 p.m. Burial will be private.

The family prefers that donations be made to a memorial in Chris' name: The Christopher B. Darcy Scholarship Fund at http://christopherdarcyscholarshipfund.org/ which will assist prospective students at Landmark School with tuition costs.
