Amy Beth Lord, 24, Bentley University Graduate

BOSTON - Amy Beth Lord, 24, of Boston and Wilbraham died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Boston. Amy Beth daughter of Dennis A. and Cynthia A. (O’Donnell) Lord was born in Springfield on December 21, 1988.

Raised in Wilbraham she graduated in 2007 from Minnechaug Regional High School. While attending Minnechaug she was Captain of the Falcon’s Cheerleading Team and together won the Western Mass. Cheerleading Championship. Amy Beth pursued further studies at Bentley University graduating in 2011 and received her Bachelor’s Degrees in Marketing and Liberal Studies. She was employed by Genuine Interactive for the past two years as an Online Marketing Specialist. She was a resident of Wilbraham most of her life, and danced at the Dance Company since the age of two.

Amy Beth was a communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church, and a member of NHS. She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Christine “Bapci” Lord and her maternal grandmother, Barbara “Grammy” O’Donnell. In addition to her parents Dennis and Cynthia Lord, Amy Beth is survived by two sisters, Kimberly J. Lord and Carly M. Lord of Wilbraham; her paternal grandfather, Donald J. Lord of Ludlow and her maternal grandfather, Robert O’Donnell of Springfield; special godparents, Maurice and Laurie Dusel; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; her boyfriend Mike Cassell and special friends, “The Gypies” and “The Bentley Girls.”

Visiting hours for Amy Beth will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield. Friends are asked to meet on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at St. Cecila’s Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham to Celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial for Amy Beth at 10 a.m. Rites of Committal and Interment will be private in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. Memorial contributions in Amy’s memory may be made to the Christopher James Burnham Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 13, Wilbraham, MA 01095-0013 and or to The Friends of Mike Farrell, P.O. Box 963, Wilbraham, MA 01095.
