PETER KOUTOUJIAN CALLS ON REPUBLICAN TOM TIERNEY TO APOLOGIZE TO VOTERS FOR “DEMEANING AND DISRESPECTFUL” COMMENTS TOWARDS WOMEN

Peter Koutoujian issued the following statement in response to Republican Tom Tierney’s comments about women’s rights as an issue in the 5th Congressional District Race.

“Tom Tierney’s comments regarding issues important to women are inappropriate, offensive, and have absolutely no place in this campaign.

As a father and husband, I’ve fought for women’s rights throughout my career. I know that my daughter Isabel deserves to make more than 77 cents on the dollar to her male counterparts, and that government has no place in the decisions they make about their health.

If Tom Tierney wants to be a serious candidate in this race, he should apologize immediately for his demeaning and disrespectful comments.”
