Waltham Marks Veterans Day

The Waltham community gathered on Monday to mark Veterans Day.

During a program at the Circle of Remembrance on the Waltham common, elected officials, veterans, police and firefighters gathered to mark Veterans Day by dedicating 47 new bricks, with the names of veterans from Waltham who served in the U.S. armed during war and peacetime, to the existing set of bricks. After the addition of 47 on Monday, the total is 2,064, according to City Councilor Joseph Giordano, who emceed the dedication ceremony.

Also, family members of fallen Waltham veterans laid roses on the bricks of their loved ones.
