What's Happening With Waltham Carjacker?

A Middlesex Superior Court grand jury has indicted Scott Steverding, 30 , of Waltham, on charges that he carjacked a young woman in the parking lot on Harvard Street recently.

Steverding is facing charges for armed carjacking, unarmed robery, armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's office. He has yet to be arraigned. The unarmed robbery charge stems from an alleged Aug. 13 incident in Waltham.

Police identified Steverding from a surveillance video of the incident. They also later identified him as the alleged robber of the BP gas station on Maple Street on Aug. 13, according to the DA's office.
